Even despite being the month between the Early Signing Period and National Signing Day, January was still an active last 31 days when it came to SEC football recruiting. January Commits:

  • 4-star DL Justus Terry
  • 4-star S Peyton Woodyard
  • 4-star S Jaylen Heyward
  • 4-star OT Micah Debose
  • 4-star RB Dwight Phillips Jr.

The first SEC football winner during January was two-time defending national champion Georgia, as the Bulldogs added a total of five commitments, all of which came in either the 2024 or 2025 classes. Of those five names, arguably the biggest was that of Justus Terry, a highly-rated four-star defensive lineman from the 2025 class out of in-state Manchester High School.

Georgia also added two of the top safeties from the 2024 class with Peyton Woodyard and Jaylen Heyward, both of which are highly-rated four-star prospects. Woodyard attends national power St. John Bosco High School in California, while Heyward is out of Rockledge High School in Florida.

The Bulldogs final two commitments came through Micah Debose and Dwight Phillips Jr., with Debose rated as a four-star offensive tackle in the 2025 class out of Vigor High School in Alabama. Phillips is a four-star running back in the 2024 class out of in-state Pebblebrook High School.
