SEC Football: Georgia, South Carolina among January recruiting winners
By Matt Melton
Florida Gators
January Commits:
- 4-star EDGE Adarius Hayes
- 4-star OT Caden Jones
In conclusion, there were a few SEC football programs who landed a pair of commitments during January, the first of which was Florida. The Gators landed one of the top in-state edge rushers in the 2024 class in Adarius Hayes out of Largo High School, as well as a piece to their 2023 class in four-star offensive tackle Caden Jones out of De La Salle High School in Louisiana.
Auburn Tigers
January Commits:
- 4-star CB Tyler Scott
- 3-star S CJ Johnson
Auburn was another one of those teams to add a pair of commitments during January, both of which came in the Tigers 2023 class. Arguably the biggest of those two names was Tyler Scott, a four-star cornerback out of Pebblebrook High School in Georgia, while Auburn also added three-star safety CJ Johnson out of Paetow High School in Texas.
Ole Miss Rebels
January Commits:
- 3-star OT Mana Taimani
- 3-star EDGE Chamberlain Campbell
The final team on this list is Ole Miss, as the Rebels also landed two 2023 commitments during January in Chamberlain Campbell and Mana Taimani. Campbell is rated as a three-star edge rusher out of Lakewood High School in Florida, while Taimani is a three-star offensive tackle out of Diablo Valley College in California.
