14. South Carolina Gamecocks

Previous Ranking: 14

We begin this week with South Carolina, as the Gamecocks now sit at 8-15 overall, as well as 1-9 in the SEC. The Gamecocks are coming off their third consecutive 0-2 week, as South Carolina dropped a pair of home games this past week, falling to Mississippi State on Tuesday by a final of 66-51, as well as Saturday to Arkansas in a close game, 65-63.

Having now lost seven-straight dating back to January 14, South Carolina will now travel for a pair of road games this week, the first of which comes Tuesday night at Missouri. The Gamecocks will then travel to Ole Miss on Saturday.

13. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 13

Speaking of the Rebels, Ole Miss also remains in the No. 13 spot in this week’s update, now sitting at 9-14 overall, as well as 1-9 in the SEC. The Rebels are coming off an 0-2 mark for the second consecutive week in a row, with Ole Miss having fallen at home to Kentucky on Tuesday, 75-66, as well as Saturday at Vanderbilt in a close game, 74-71.

Currently on a five-game losing streak, Ole Miss will now travel on Tuesday for a matchup against Georgia in Athens, an opponent whom the Rebels previously fell to back on January 14 at home, 62-58. Ole Miss will then host South Carolina on Saturday, with the Gamecocks being the Rebels lone SEC basketball win so far this season.
