Coming off a week that was headlined by a few late game winners at the buzzer, here is the latest update of our 2022-23 SEC basketball power rankings as we begin to wind down the home stretch of the regular season.

Texas A&M, Vanderbilt rise in latest 2022-23 SEC Basketball power rankings

14. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 13

We begin this week’s update with a new No. 14 team in Ole Miss, as the Rebels drop a spot from No. 13, now sitting at 10-15 overall, as well as 2-10 in the SEC. Splitting this past week’s action, the Rebels originally began the week with a 78-74 road win at Georgia, which snapped what was previously a five-game losing streak, but would fall on Saturday to previous No. 14 South Carolina at home, 64-61.

The Rebels will now travel to begin this week’s action, which will start Wednesday night in Gainesville against Florida. Ole Miss will then return home Saturday for the second edition of the Egg Bowl on the hardwood this season against Mississippi State, whom the Rebels previously fell to in Starkville earlier this year, 64-54.

13. South Carolina Gamecocks

Previous Ranking: 14

As mentioned previously, South Carolina rises a spot up to No. 13 this week, with the Gamecocks now sitting at 9-16 overall, as well as 2-10 in the SEC. South Carolina also split this past week’s action, beginning with an 83-74 road loss at Missouri on Tuesday, followed by the previously mentioned 64-61 road win at Ole Miss on Saturday, which snapped what was an eight-game losing streak for the Gamecocks.

South Carolina will now return home for their midweek contest, which comes Tuesday night against Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks will then travel Saturday afternoon to Baton Rouge to face LSU.
