Kentucky, South Carolina rise in latest 2022-23 SEC Basketball power rankings

14. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 14

We begin here with the No. 14 spot, as Ole Miss remains in their ranking from last week sitting at 10-17 overall, as well as 2-12 in the SEC. The Rebels are coming off an 0-2 week in the SEC, one that included a 79-64 road loss at Florida on Tuesday, followed by a 69-61 overtime home defeat to rival Mississippi State on Saturday.

Having now lost three-straight, Ole Miss will now travel for their first matchup this week, which will come Wednesday night at Auburn. The Rebels will then return home Saturday to host LSU.

13. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 12

Speaking of the Tigers, the first team to move in this week’s update is LSU, as they drop a spot to No. 13 now sitting at 12-15 overall, as well as 1-13 in the SEC. The Tigers have now lost 14-straight dating back to January 3, with LSU having dropped a pair of games this past week, coming at Georgia on Tuesday, 65-63, as well as Saturday at home to South Carolina, 82-73.

Looking to snap their losing streak, LSU will begin this week Wednesday night at home against Vanderbilt. The Tigers will then travel Saturday to Oxford for the previously mentioned matchup at Ole Miss.
