One of the biggest SEC basketball games of the day Saturday comes in Lexington between a pair of teams needing wins to add to their NCAA Tournament resumes, Kentucky and Auburn. The two teams have split the last four meetings on the hardwood, but Kentucky has owned the matchup inside Rupp Arena in recent years, with Auburn’s last win in Lexington having come back in 1988.

Kentucky comes into Saturday holding a 19-9 overall record this season, as well as a 10-5 mark in SEC play to sit third in the conference. The Tigers have struggled at times in recent weeks, but do enter this matchup having won two of their last three against Missouri and Ole Miss, with the loss having come in between the two at Vanderbilt.

The Tigers are averaging 72.7 PPG themselves on the offensive end, while also allowing 65.1 PPG on defense, which is among the lowest in SEC basketball. The Tigers also have three double-digit scorers in Johni Broome, Wendell Green Jr., and Jaylin Williams, with others such as Allen Flanigan and KD Johnson also prominent scorers for Auburn.
