SEC Basketball: Kentucky, Arkansas rise in latest 2022-23 power rankings

As we enter the final week of the 2022-23 SEC basketball regular season, let’s update our power rankings surrounding the conference, as well as give a few matchups in particular that you should be watching for later this week.

Kentucky, Arkansas rise in latest 2022-23 SEC Basketball power rankings

14. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 13

We begin this week with LSU, as the Tigers drop a spot to No. 14 now sitting at 13-16 overall, as well as 2-14 in the SEC. The Tigers originally began this past week with an 84-77 home win over Vanderbilt, which snapped what was a 14-game losing streak, but would fall on the road at Ole Miss on Saturday by a final score of 82-69.

The Tigers will now return home Wednesday night for a matchup against Missouri. LSU will then conclude the regular season Saturday by traveling to Gainesville for a matchup against Florida.

13. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 14

Ole Miss, who parted ways with head coach Kermit Davis during the week, rises a spot to No. 13 this week now sitting at 11-18 overall, as well as 3-13 in the SEC. The Rebels opened the week with a close 78-74 road loss at Auburn, but bounced back with the previously mentioned 82-69 home win over LSU.

The Rebels will begin this week with a home matchup as Ole Miss will welcome Texas A&M to Oxford. Ole Miss will then conclude the regular season Saturday with a trip to Missouri.
