12. South Carolina Gamecocks

Previous Ranking: 12

South Carolina remains in the No. 12 spot this week by a slim margin, with the Gamecocks now owning a 10-19 overall record, as well as a 3-13 mark in SEC play. South Carolina originally began the week Wednesday night with a close 78-76 overtime loss to Alabama at home, and would go on to struggle Saturday with an 85-45 road loss at Tennessee.

The Gamecocks will now travel to begin the week Tuesday night for a matchup against Mississippi State. South Carolina will then return home Saturday for their SEC basketball regular season finale against Georgia.

11. Georgia Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 11

Georgia remains at the No. 11 spot in this week’s update, as the Bulldogs now sit at 16-13 overall, as well as 6-10 in SEC play. The Bulldogs simply had a rough week on the hardwood by losing both games by 20+ points, which came at Arkansas on Tuesday night by a final score of 97-65, as well as at home to Missouri on Saturday, 85-63.

Having now lost three-straight, Georgia’s final week of the regular season will begin Tuesday night by hosting Florida. The Bulldogs will also travel to South Carolina on Saturday for a rematch of what was an 81-78 overtime win in Athens earlier this season.
