2. Texas A&M Aggies

Previous Ranking: 2

Remaining in the No. 2 spot this week is Texas A&M, as the Aggies now sit at 21-8 overall, as well as 13-3 in the SEC. The Aggies originally began this past week with a big 68-63 win at home over Tennessee to extend their win streak to six games, but would see that streak snapped Saturday at Mississippi State with a 69-62 road loss to the Bulldogs.

Now two games behind Alabama in the SEC regular season standings, Texas A&M will begin this week Tuesday night by traveling to Ole Miss. The Aggies will then host Alabama on Saturday, a game that could potentially have big stakes attached to it.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

Previous Ranking: 1

Remaining in the No. 1 spot as we enter the final week of the regular season is Alabama, with the Crimson Tide now sitting at 25-4 overall, as well as 15-1 atop the SEC. The Crimson Tide did play two close contests this past week, which came through a 78-76 overtime win at South Carolina on Wednesday, and was followed by an 86-83 home win over Arkansas on Saturday.

Now looking to secure the 2022-23 SEC basketball regular season title, Alabama, who is currently on a three-game winning streak, will begin play Wednesday night at home against rival Auburn, a game in which the Crimson Tide can clinch the title outright. The Crimson Tide will then travel to Texas A&M in the aforementioned matchup Saturday, one that could potentially decide the SEC regular season champion should Alabama lose to Auburn.
