Good morning, SEC fans! As you begin your Tuesday, here is a look back at a few things you need to know from a loaded day across the conference Monday.

9 SEC teams ranked in latest college baseball Top 25

There were nine SEC teams ranked in D1Baseball.com’s latest college baseball Top 25 rankings, a list headlined by LSU at No. 1 overall. Those additional teams were as follows: Tennessee (3), Ole Miss (4), Florida (6), Vanderbilt (7), Arkansas (8), Texas A&M (15), Alabama (20), and South Carolina (23).

4 SEC teams ranked in latest college basketball AP Poll

A total of four SEC teams were ranked in the latest college basketball AP Poll, with Alabama the highest-ranked team at No. 2 overall. The Crimson Tide also received five first place votes, and were followed by others throughout the Top 25 such as Tennessee (12), Kentucky (23), and Texas A&M (24).

Willie Cauley-Stein signing with Houston Rockets

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Willie Cauley-Stein will be signing a 10-day contract with the Houston Rockets. The former 2015 first round pick out of Kentucky last played in an NBA game during the 2021-22 season.

Glenn Schumann returning to Georgia

According to ESPN’s Chris Low, Georgia co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann is returning to Athens for the 2023 season. Schumann had previously interviewed for the defensive coordinator position with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tennessee SS Maui Ahuna’s eligibility reinstated

It was announced Monday that Tennessee shortstop Maui Ahuna’s eligibility was reinstated. Ahuna, who is MLB Pipeline’s No. 22 overall prospect in the 2023 MLB Draft, transferred to Tennessee from Kansas during the offseason, and slashed .396/.479/.634 with the Jayhawks a year ago.

Alabama, Missouri in Top 4 for 4-star SF Kris Parker

Kris Parker released a list of his final four schools Monday, with Alabama and Missouri as the lone SEC programs included, alongside both UCF and Villanova as well. A four-star small forward out of Crossroad Academy in Florida, Parker is one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the 2023 class.

4-star WR JJ Harrell commits to Tennessee

Tennessee landed their fifth commitment of the 2024 cycle Monday in JJ Harrell. Harrell is rated as a four-star wide receiver out of North Panola High School in Mississippi.
