One of the top rivalries in SEC basketball, Alabama is set to host Auburn on Wednesday night for a chance to claim the outright SEC regular season title. Both the Crimson Tide and Tigers previously faced off a little over two weeks ago in Auburn, a game in which Alabama came away with the win, 77-69.

Ranked as the nation’s No. 2 overall team according to the latest AP Poll, Alabama currently owns a 25-4 overall record, as well as a 15-1 mark in SEC play to sit atop the conference. The Crimson Tide are also currently on a three-game winning streak, and are projected as a one-seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

The Crimson Tide, led by head coach Nate Oats, currently rank No. 5 nationally with an average of 83.3 PPG offensively, while also leading the nation in rebounding with 44.5 per game, as well as defensive rebounding at 32 per game. Alabama, who also allows 69.1 PPG defensively, has two double-digit scorers in Brandon Miller and Mark Sears, as well as a deep rotation that includes others such as Noah Clowney, Jaden Bradley, Jahvon Quinerly, Rylan Griffen, Charles Bediako, Nimari Burnett, and more.

Auburn however comes to Tuscaloosa owning a 19-10 overall record, as well as a 9-7 mark in SEC play to sit at fifth in the conference. The Tigers have lost two of their last three games, and are currently sitting in the “Last Four Byes” category on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.

Led by head coach Bruce Pearl, the Tigers are averaging 72.1 on the offensive end, while allowing 65.9 PPG defensively, and also rank No. 7 nationally in blocks with an average of 5.4 per game. Auburn has three players averaging in double-figures in Johni Broome, Wendell Green Jr., and Jaylin Williams, while Allen Flanigan, KD Johnson, and Dylan Cardwell are also names to know for the Tigers.
