The 2022-23 SEC basketball regular season officially came to a close Saturday night, which means that the attention for the conference now shifts toward the postseason, beginning this week with the 2023 SEC Tournament in Nashville.
With the matchups for now officially set as well, let’s take a look at the bracket for the 2023 SEC Tournament.
What is the bracket for the 2023 SEC Tournament?
The 2023 SEC Tournament will officially begin Wednesday night with two matchups, featuring No. 11 vs. No. 14, as well as No. 12 vs. No. 13. Those matchups are:
- No. 11 Georgia vs. No. 14 LSU
- No. 12 South Carolina vs. No. 13 Ole Miss
The first full day of action will be Thursday, as four total games will be played, two of which the matchups are already set. Those four matchups will be:
- No. 8 Florida vs. No. 9 Mississippi State
- No. 5 Tennessee vs. Winner of 12/13
- No. 7 Auburn vs. No. 10 Arkansas
- No. 6 Vanderbilt vs. Winner of 11/14
Another full day of action will then take place Friday, which will also be the first games in Nashville for the SEC’s top four seeds. Those matchups will not be finalized until after Thursday’s games, with each listed below:
- No. 1 Alabama vs. Winner of 8/9
- No. 4 Missouri vs. Winner of 5 vs. 12/13
- No. 2 Texas A&M vs. Winner of 7/10
- No. 3 Kentucky vs. Winner of 6 vs. 11/14
As for Saturday, the first semifinal will feature the winner of the Alabama matchup against the winner of the Missouri matchup, while the second semifinal will feature the winner of the Texas A&M matchup against the winner of the Kentucky matchup. The championship game will then be played Sunday afternoon between the winners of those two games in the final matchup of the tournament.
