SEC fans, here are a few recent headlines from across the conference in recent days, featuring GG Jackson declaring for the NBA Draft, Auburn landing a commitment from a top in-state running back, and more.

LSU C Kendal Coleman enters transfer portal

After transferring to LSU from Northwestern State last offseason, LSU center Kendal Coleman has entered the transfer portal. Coleman appeared in 21 games off the Tigers bench this past season, averaging 2.3 PPG and 2.1 RPG

South Carolina F GG Jackson declares for 2023 NBA Draft

After one season in Columbia, South Carolina forward Gregory “GG” Jackson II has declared for the 2023 NBA Draft. Jackson was an SEC All-Freshman selection this past season, averaging 15.4 PPG and 5.9 RPG.

4-star RB J’Marion Burnette commits to Auburn

One of the top runnings backs in the state of Alabama, J’Marion Burnette committed to Auburn on Friday. Burnette is rated as a four-star prospect in the 2024 class out of in-state Andalusia High School.

3-star OT Malachi Tolliver commits to Georgia

Georgia landed another commitment to their top-ranked 2024 class Sunday in Malachi Tolliver, an in-state product. Tolliver is rated as a three-star offensive tackle out of Cartersville High School in Georgia.

Colorado State G John Tonje transfers to Missouri

Missouri landed a transfer addition on the hardwood Monday afternoon in John Tonje, who joins the Tigers after four seasons at Colorado State. Tonje is coming off a 2022-23 season in which he averaged 14.6 PPG and 4.7 RPG, while also shooting 38.9% from three-point range and 81.5% from the free throw line.

Kentucky G Sahvir Wheeler enters transfer portal

Kentucky guard Sahvir Wheeler has entered the transfer portal after two seasons in Lexington, a span in which he averaged a combined 9.1 PPG, 2.5 RPG, and 6.3 APG. Wheeler started in 14-of-21 games this past season at Kentucky, averaging 7.7 PPG, 2.3 RPG, and 5.6 APG.
