SEC Baseball: Vanderbilt, Auburn rise in latest 2023 power rankings

Rising two spots up to No. 10 this week is Auburn, with the Tigers now sitting at 18-9-1 overall this season, as well as 3-6 in the SEC. Originally beginning the week with a 14-1 home win over North Alabama, the Tigers would then travel to Gainesville to defeat Florida in game one, 10-1, but would fall in games two and three by final scores of 12-5 and 17-8.

Auburn will now travel to UAB on Tuesday night, facing an opponent whom the Tigers previously defeated back on March 7, 4-1. The Tigers will then return home this weekend for a series against Texas A&M.

Rising a spot up to No. 9 this week is Alabama, with the Crimson Tide now sitting at 21-8 overall, as well as 3-6 in the SEC. Originally beginning the week with a 10-4 win over Middle Tennessee State, the Crimson Tide would then win game one at Arkansas, 12-1, but would drop games two and three by final scores of 9-6 and 5-4, respectively.

Alabama will now return to action Tuesday night for an in-state matchup against Troy. Following for the Crimson Tide will be a weekend home series against Mississippi State in Tuscaloosa.
