Rising a spot to No. 6 this week is Kentucky, as the Wildcats now sit at 25-3 overall, as well as 8-1 in the SEC, coming off a big week on the diamond. As to what that week looked like, the Wildcats originally began play Tuesday with a 10-8 road win at Western Kentucky, and would later sweep Missouri at home by final scores of 12-2, 10-0, and 3-1.

The Wildcats will now open action Tuesday night at home against Dayton. Kentucky will then travel to Athens for a series against Georgia this weekend.

We begin the top five this week with a new No. 5, as South Carolina rises a spot now sitting at 26-3 overall, a record that also includes an 8-1 mark in SEC baseball play. The Gamecocks originally began play last Tuesday night with a 13-2 road win at The Citadel, and would go on to win games one and three at Mississippi State, 6-4 and 14-5, as well as drop game two, 13-3.

South Carolina now has one of the toughest weeks of any SEC baseball team, beginning Tuesday night with a road matchup at North Carolina. The Gamecocks will then return home this weekend to host LSU.
