. . . Gators . 11. team. 526

Coming off their first losing season since the 2014-15 season, Florida sits in the No. 11 spot as the Gators now enter year two of the Todd Golden era in Gainesville. As to what that year looked like, Florida would miss the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season, finishing the year with a 16-17 overall record, as well as a 9-9 mark in SEC play for the second-straight year.

Undoubtedly the Gators biggest loss from this past year’s team will be star center Colin Castleton, while Florida has also seen a few noteworthy names enter the transfer portal such as Kowacie Reeves and Trey Bonham. Florida will however also return the likes of Will Richard and Riley Kugel among others, and are likely set to add to a list of newcomers this offseason that already features Yale transfer EJ Jarvis.

Bulldogs . 10. team. 527. . .

After a big bounce back 2022-23 season in year one of the Mike White era, Georgia sits in the No. 10 spot of our way-too-early 2023-24 power rankings. Despite missing the NCAA Tournament for the eighth consecutive season, this was undoubtedly a step forward for the Bulldogs after a rough 2021-22, with Georgia finishing with a 16-16 overall record, as well as a 6-12 mark in SEC play.

As for next season, the Bulldogs roster is likely set to return names such as Justin Hill, Jabri Abdur-Rahim, and Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe among others, while also adding two impact freshmen in Dylan James and Mari Jordan. The Bulldogs could also be a team to watch for in particular in the transfer portal this offseason, as Georgia will likely also add a few names to the roster.
