Here are a few headlines from across the SEC on both Tuesday and Wednesday, featuring Jordan Wright announcing his transfer decision, BJ Mack releasing his top five schools, and more.
Wofford transfer F BJ Mack releases Top 5 schools
One of the top frontcourt transfers available, BJ Mack released his Top 5 schools on Tuesday, with Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, and South Carolina each joining Iowa. Mack started in all 32 games for Wofford this past season, averaging 16.6 PPG and 5.6 RPG, while also shooting 80.7% from the free throw line.
Arkansas lands Washington transfer G Keyon Menifield Jr.
Arkansas landed a transfer commitment Tuesday from Keyon Menifield Jr., who spent the 2022-23 season at Washington. Making the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team, Menifield averaged 10 PPG, 2.9 RPG, and 3.1 APG.
LSU F KJ Williams declares for 2023 NBA Draft
After one season in Baton Rouge, LSU forward KJ Williams officially declared for the 2023 NBA Draft on Tuesday. Williams started in all 33 games for the Tigers this past season, averaging 17.7 PPG, 7.7 RPG, and 1.2 SPG, while also shooting 41.1% from three and 78.5% from the free throw line.
Kentucky F Ugonna Onyenso enters transfer portal
After only one season in Lexington, Kentucky freshman forward Ugonna Onyenso officially entered the transfer portal Wednesday. A former highly-rated four-star prospect from the 2022 class, Onyenso appeared in 16 games off the Wildcats bench this past season, averaging 2.5 PPG and 2.6 RPG on 52.9% shooting from the field.
Vanderbilt F Jordan Wright transfers to LSU
After four seasons with the Commodores, a span in which he averaged a combined 9.5 PPG and 4.8 RPG, Vanderbilt forward Jordan Wright has transferred within the SEC to LSU. Wright started in 17-of-34 games this past season at Vanderbilt, averaging 10.6 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 2.1 APG, while also shooting 75.6% from the free throw line.
4-star WR Mario Craver releases Top 10 schools
A four-star wide receiver in the 2024 class out of Clay-Chalkville High School in Alabama, Mario Craver released his Top 10 schools on Wednesday. Those programs were Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M.
