SEC Baseball: South Carolina, Georgia rise in latest 2023 power rankings

10. Auburn Tigers

Previous Ranking: 10

Remaining at the No. 10 spot this week is Auburn, as the Tigers now sit at 19-12-1 overall, as well as 4-8 in SEC play. Beginning with a 6-5 road loss at UAB, Auburn would go on to drop games one and three against Texas A&M during the weekend by final scores of 9-5 and 12-6, but would also win game two, 10-9.

The Tigers will return to action Tuesday night on the road with a trip to face Georgia Tech. Auburn will also travel to Tuscaloosa for a series with SEC baseball rival Alabama this weekend.

9. Alabama Crimson Tide

Previous Ranking: 9

Speaking of the Crimson Tide, Alabama remains at the No. 9 spot this week now sitting at 23-10 overall, as well as 4-8 in SEC play. Alabama originally began this past week with a 10-2 win over Troy, but would drop games one and three at home to Mississippi State during the weekend, 12-8 and 8-4, even despite winning game two by a final score of 11-1.

The Crimson Tide will now return to action Tuesday night at home against Southern Miss. Alabama will also remain at home during the weekend for the aforementioned rivalry series against Auburn.
