SEC fans, here is a look at a few things that you need to know from across the conference from Monday, which features both Ole Miss and Florida landing a basketball transfer.

Marshall transfer C Micah Handlogten commits to Florida

Florida landed a basketball commitment Monday morning from a noteworthy transfer in Marshall center Micah Handlogten, who was the 2022-23 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year this past season with the Thundering Herd. Handlogten started in all 32 games for Marshall a year ago, averaging 7.6 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 1.3 SPG, and 2.3 BPG, while also shooting 66.2% from the field.

Georgetown transfer G Brandon Murray commits to Ole Miss

Ole Miss and new head coach Chris Beard landed a notable commitment Monday afternoon from Georgetown transfer guard Brandon Murray, who originally began his collegiate career in the SEC at LSU during the 2021-22 season. Murray started in all 27 games for the Hoyas this past season, averaging 13.7 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 3.2 APG, and 1.4 SPG.

3-star LB Caleb Dozier commits to Mississippi State

Mississippi State landed the third commitment of their 2024 class Monday afternoon from Caleb Dozier. Dozier is rated as a three-star linebacker out of Headland High School in Alabama.

Alabama included in Top 4 for Hofstra transfer G Aaron Estrada

Alabama was included in the top four schools for Hofstra transfer guard Aaron Estrada released Monday afternoon, with the Crimson Tide joined by Cincinnati, Florida State, and Kansas State. The back-to-back CAA Player of the Year, Estrada started in all 31 games for Hofstra this past season, averaging 20.2 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 4.3 APG, and 1.5 SPG, while also shooting 36.8% from three and 80.9% from the free throw line.

3-star SG Andre Mills commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M landed a basketball commitment on Monday from Andre Mills, a three-star shooting guard in the 2024 class. The Aggies second commitment of the 2024 cycle, Mills attends Brimmer and May School in Massachusetts.
