Here are some of the biggest headlines from across the SEC on Thursday and Friday, featuring both Florida and South Carolina landing a top recruit from the 2024 class.

Cincinnati transfer G Jeremiah Davenport commits to Arkansas

Arkansas landed a commitment Thursday from Jeremiah Davenport, a guard who transfers after four seasons at Cincinnati. A career 9.7 PPG scorer, Davenport is coming off a season in which he averaged 9.1 PPG and 4.2 RPG for the Bearcats, while also shooting 83% from the free throw line, as well as starting in 15-of-36 games.

OT Dontrell Glover commits to Alabama

Alabama landed a commitment Thursday afternoon to their 2025 class in Dontrell Glover, who is an offensive tackle out of Langston Hughes High School in Georgia. Glover is currently unranked according to 247Sports.

Auburn DL Jeffrey M’ba enters transfer portal

The former No. 1 overall JUCO prospect in the 2022 class, Auburn defensive lineman Jeffrey M’ba has entered the transfer portal. M’ba compiled six tackles, one TFL, one sack, and one FF across nine games during the 2022 season.

4-star S Xavier Filsaime commits to Florida

Xavier Filsaime, a highly-rated four-star safety in the 2024 class, announced his commitment to Florida on Thursday. Filsaime, who attends McKinney High School in Texas, is now the Gators seventh commitment of the 2024 cycle.

4-star OT Josiah Thompson commits to South Carolina

South Carolina landed the seventh commitment of their 2024 class Friday in Josiah Thompson, a four-star offensive tackle. Thompson, who is one of the top players in the state of South Carolina, attends in-state Dillon High School.

LSU G Cam Hayes enters transfer portal

LSU guard Cam Hayes entered the transfer portal Friday after one season in Baton Rouge. Hayes, who transferred from NC State last offseason, started in 18-of-31 games for the Tigers this past season, averaging 8.1 PPG, 2.5 RPG, and 2.3 APG, while also shooting 80% from the free throw line.
