Coming off what was a “rivalry week” for a few teams across the conference, here is the latest update of our 2023 SEC baseball power rankings, one that features a rise from both Arkansas and Mississippi State.

Arkansas, Mississippi State rise in latest 2023 SEC Baseball power rankings

14. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 13

We begin this week’s update with a new No. 14 team, as Ole Miss drops a spot now sitting at 20-16 overall, as well as 3-12 in SEC play. The Rebels would originally begin this past week with a 13-4 home win over Alcorn State on Tuesday, as well as go on to win game one at Mississippi State, 3-2, but would drop games two and three by final scores of 8-7 and 5-3, respectively.

Ole Miss will now travel once again during the midweek, as the Rebels are set to face Arkansas State on Tuesday night. The Rebels will then host LSU for three games this weekend.

13. Missouri Tigers

Previous Ranking: 14

Rising a spot up to No. 13 this week is Missouri, as the Tigers now sit at 22-13 overall, as well as 5-10 in SEC play. The Tigers originally began this past week with a 10-1 road win Tuesday at Missouri State, and would go on to drop games one and two at Texas A&M during the weekend, 13-5 and 13-1, respectively, but would however bounce back with a 13-5 win in game three.

The Tigers will now open play this week at home Tuesday, as Missouri will face Missouri State for a second time this season. Missouri will then host Alabama for three games during the weekend.
