SEC Baseball: Arkansas, Mississippi State rise in latest 2023 power rankings

12. Georgia Bulldogs
Previous Ranking: 11
Dropping a spot to No. 12 this week is Georgia, as the Bulldogs now sit at 19-17 overall, as well as 4-11 in SEC play. After beginning the week Tuesday with an 8-1 loss to Clemson, Georgia would go on to win game one at Florida this past weekend by a final score of 13-11, but would later drop both games two and three, 2-1 and 11-6, respectively.
The Bulldogs will now open play this week Tuesday night with a road trip at Clemson. Georgia will then return home during the weekend for three games against Arkansas.
11. Auburn Tigers

Also dropping a spot in this week’s update is Auburn, as the Tigers now sit at 20-15-1 overall, as well as 5-10 in SEC play. Beginning the week with a 12-8 road loss at Georgia Tech on Tuesday, the Tigers would originally win game one at Alabama during the weekend by a final score of 8-4, but would fall in games two and three by final scores of 4-2 and 6-1, respectively.
Having dropped eight of their last 10 games, Auburn will now return home this week, beginning Tuesday night with a matchup against Samford. The Tigers will then host Mississippi State this weekend in SEC baseball action.
