10. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 12

Speaking of the Bulldogs, Mississippi State was one of SEC baseball’s biggest risers of the week, jumping two spots to No. 10 now sitting at 22-15 overall, as well as 5-10 in conference play. The Bulldogs originally began this past week with a 7-3 road win at UAB, and even despite dropping game one against in-state rival Ole Miss during the weekend, 3-2, would go on to win games two and three by final scores of 8-7 and 5-3, respectively.

Mississippi State will now begin play this week at home Tuesday night against Southern. The Bulldogs will then travel this weekend for the previously mentioned series at Auburn.

9. Alabama Crimson Tide

Previous Ranking: 9

Remaining in their No. 9 ranking from a week ago is Alabama, as the Crimson Tide now sit at 26-11 overall, as well as 6-9 in SEC play. After beginning the week Tuesday with a 13-0 home win over Southern Miss, the Crimson Tide would go on to drop game one against Auburn during the weekend, 8-4, but would bounce back in games two and three, defeating the Tigers by final scores of 4-2 and 6-1, respectively.

Alabama will now travel Tuesday night for a matchup at UAB, an opponent whom the Crimson Tide previously defeated, 12-2, back on March 21. The Crimson Tide will also travel for conference play this weekend at Missouri.
