SEC Baseball: Arkansas, Mississippi State rise in latest 2023 power rankings

6. Texas A&M Aggies

Speaking of the Aggies, Texas A&M rises a spot in this week’s update, with the Aggies now sitting at 22-14 overall, as well as 7-8 in SEC play. After beginning the week Tuesday with a 5-1 loss to UTSA, Texas A&M would bounce back during the weekend with wins in games one and two over Missouri, 13-5 and 13-1, respectively, as well as drop game three by a final of 13-5.

The Aggies will now open action this week Wednesday night at home against Prairie View. Texas A&M will then travel for SEC baseball action during the weekend at Kentucky.

5. South Carolina Gamecocks

Dropping a spot to No. 5 is South Carolina, with the Gamecocks currently sitting at 30-6 overall, as well as 10-4 in SEC play. Beginning the week Tuesday with a 7-2 home win over SC Upstate, the Gamecocks would also take game one at Vanderbilt by a final score of 14-6, but would later drop games two and three by final scores of 8-5 and 6-4, respectively.

Looking ahead, South Carolina will return to action at home Tuesday against Charleston Southern. The Gamecocks will then host Florida this weekend for three games.
