SEC Baseball: Arkansas, Mississippi State rise in latest 2023 power rankings

4. Arkansas Razorbacks

Rising a spot within the top five this week is Arkansas, as the Razorbacks now sit at 29-7 overall, as well as 11-4 in SEC play. Coming off one of the most impressive weekends of any SEC baseball team, Arkansas would originally begin the week with a midweek split with Little Rock, winning 21-5 on Tuesday, as well as falling 11-4 on Wednesday, with the Razorbacks then going on to sweep Tennessee at home during the weekend by final scores of 5-2, 6-3, and 7-2.

The Razorbacks are now set to host Central Arkansas on Tuesday to begin this week. Arkansas will then travel to Georgia this weekend for three games.

3. Florida Gators

Remaining in the No. 3 spot this week is Florida, as the Gators now sit at 30-7 overall, as well as 11-4 in SEC play. The Gators would originally begin the week at home Tuesday night with a 5-3 win over in-state rival Florida State, and would go on to take games two and three at home over Georgia during the weekend, 2-1 and 11-6, respectively, as well as drop game one, 13-11.

Florida will now remain at home during the midweek, as the Gators are set to host Florida A&M on Tuesday night. The Gators will then travel for three games this weekend at South Carolina in what is one of the top series in SEC baseball this week.
