2. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 2

A team that certainly has an argument to be made for No. 1, Vanderbilt remains at No. 2 this week now sitting at 29-7 overall, as well as 13-2 in SEC play. After beginning the week with a 14-2 win at home over North Alabama on Tuesday, the Commodores would come away with the victory in games two and three over South Carolina during the weekend, 8-5 and 6-4, respectively, as well as fall in game one, 14-6.

The Commodores will now return to action Tuesday at home against Indiana State. Vanderbilt will then travel for SEC baseball action to Knoxville for an in-state matchup with Tennessee.

1. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 1

Remaining in the No. 1 spot this week, even though it is by a slim margin, is once again LSU, as the Tigers now sit at 29-6 overall, as well as 9-5 in SEC play. Beginning this past week Tuesday night with an 11-5 road win at Tulane, the Tigers would then go on to win games one and three against Kentucky during the weekend, 16-6 and 7-6, respectively, as well as drop game two by a final of 13-10.

LSU will now remain at home for their midweek matchup Tuesday night, as the Tigers host an in-state foe in Louisiana. The Tigers will then travel to Oxford this weekend for three games against Ole Miss.
