Good morning, SEC fans! As you begin your Tuesday, here is a look back at a few headlines from a busy day across the conference Monday, which features a five-star tight end flipping to an ACC program, Arkansas landing another basketball transfer, and more.

Illinois transfer G RJ Melendez commits to Georgia

Georgia landed a basketball commitment Monday from RJ Melendez, a guard who is transferring to Athens after two seasons at Illinois. A career 5.1 PPG scorer, Melendez is coming off a 2022-23 season in which he started in 18-of-32 games for the Fighting Illini, averaging 6 PPG and 3.5 RPG on 83.3% shooting from the free throw line.

Louisville transfer G El Ellis commits to Arkansas

Arkansas landed yet another basketball commitment from the transfer portal Monday, as El Ellis has transferred to the Razorbacks from Louisville. Having spent the last two seasons at Louisville, Ellis, a guard, is coming off a 2022-23 season in which he started in all 32 games for the Cardinals, averaging 17.7 PPG, 2.6 RPG, and 4.4 APG on 81% shooting from the free throw line.

Florida F Alex Fudge declares for 2023 NBA Draft

Florida forward Alex Fudge declared for the 2023 NBA Draft on Monday after one season with the Gators. Fudge started in 11-of-32 games for the Gators this past season, averaging 5.8 PPG and 4.5 RPG.

LSU G Adam Miller transfers to Arizona State

Having entered the transfer portal earlier this offseason, LSU guard Adam Miller committed to Arizona State on Monday. Miller started in all 33 games at LSU this past season, averaging 11.5 PPG and 2.3 RPG, while also shooting 82.9% from the free throw line.

5-star TE Landen Thomas flips commitment from Georgia to Florida State

Previously one of the Bulldogs highest-rated commitments of the 2024 recruiting cycle, Landen Thomas flipped his commitment from Georgia to Florida State on Monday. Thomas is a five-star tight end out of Colquitt County High School in Georgia, and had previously been committed to the Bulldogs since July of 2022.
