SEC News: Tennessee, Missouri land basketball transfer commitments

Good morning, SEC fans! Here are a few things that you need to know from across the SEC on Wednesday and Thursday, featuring both Tennessee and Missouri landing notable basketball commitments from the transfer portal.
Ole Miss DB Markevious Brown enters transfer portal
After two seasons in Oxford, Ole Miss defensive back Markevious Brown entered the transfer portal Wednesday. Brown, a former four-star prospect from the 2021 class, had 19 tackles, two PD, and one TFL across 12 games during the 2022 season.
Auburn LB Powell Gordon enters transfer portal
A former three-star prospect from the 2022 class, Auburn linebacker Powell Gordon entered the transfer portal Wednesday. Gordon did not record any stats during the 2022 season.
Alabama DB Tre’Quon Fegans enters transfer portal
Alabama defensive back Tre’Quon Fegans entered the transfer portal Wednesday after one season in Tuscaloosa. Fegans, a former four-star prospect from the 2022 class, did not record any stats during his freshman season.
Harvard transfer F Chris Ledlum commits to Tennessee
Tennessee landed a basketball commitment via the transfer portal Wednesday from Chris Ledlum, who has spent the past three seasons at Harvard. A forward, Ledlum is a career 13.6 PPG scorer who is coming off a 2022-23 season in which he averaged 18.8 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 1.8 SPG, and 1.1 BPG to earn First Team All-Ivy honors.
Iowa State transfer G Caleb Grill commits to Missouri
Missouri picked up a basketball commitment through the transfer portal Thursday from Caleb Grill, a guard from Iowa State. Grill started in 22-of-25 games at Iowa State this past season, averaging 9.5 PPG, 4 RPG, and 1.2 SPG, while also shooting 36.8% from three.
Auburn F Jaylin Williams declares for 2023 NBA Draft
Auburn senior forward Jaylin Williams declared for the 2023 NBA Draft on Thursday, while also maintaining his collegiate eligibility. Williams started in all 33 games for Auburn this past season, averaging 11.2 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 2.2 APG on 35.4% shooting from three.
