SEC Baseball: South Carolina, Tennessee rise in latest 2023 power rankings

Another week of SEC baseball action has officially passed, meaning that our 2023 power rankings’ receives yet another update. So, let’s get to this week’s update, one that features a rise from both South Carolina and Tennessee among others.

South Carolina, Tennessee rise in latest 2023 SEC Baseball power rankings

14. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 14

We begin once again this week with Ole Miss in the No. 14 spot, as the Rebels now sit at 21-19 for the year, as well as being 3-15 in SEC play. Ole Miss would originally begin the week with a 6-3 road win at Arkansas State on Tuesday, but would go on to be swept at home by LSU during the weekend by final scores of 7-3, 8-4, and 7-6.

Having now lost three consecutive games, Ole Miss will return to action Tuesday night on the road at Mississippi State. The Rebels will then return home this weekend for three games with Georgia.

13. Missouri Tigers

Previous Ranking: 13

Also remaining in the No. 13 spot is Missouri, as the Tigers now sit at 23-16 overall, as well as 5-13 in conference play. The Tigers would originally begin the week with a 7-6 win over Missouri State at home, but would go on to be swept during the weekend by Alabama, falling at home by final scores of 6-4, 10-4, and 3-2.

Missouri, having now lost three-straight, will travel this week, beginning Tuesday night at SIUE. The Tigers will also travel to Florida for three games this weekend.
