SEC Baseball: South Carolina, Tennessee rise in latest 2023 power rankings

12. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 10

The first team to drop this week is Mississippi State, as the Bulldogs fall two spots to No. 12 now sitting at 23-17 overall, as well as 6-12 in SEC play. Mississippi State would play only during the weekend this past week, falling at Auburn in games one and three by finals of 2-1 and 12-11, as well as win game two, 11-10.

As for this week, the Bulldogs will begin play Tuesday against Ole Miss. Mississippi State will then travel to Tennessee this weekend.

11. Auburn Tigers

Previous Ranking: 11

Auburn remains in their No. 11 spot from a week ago, with the Tigers now sitting at 23-16-1 for the year, as well as 7-11 in SEC play. The Tigers would begin this past week Tuesday night with a 13-3 home win over Samford, with Auburn also going on to win games one and three against Mississippi State during the weekend, 2-1 and 12-11, as well as drop game two, 11-10.

Looking ahead, Auburn will now return to action Tuesday night at home against Troy. The Tigers will also travel to South Carolina for SEC baseball play this weekend.
