4. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 2

One of SEC baseball’s biggest teams to fall this week is Vanderbilt, as the Commodores now sit at 29-11 overall, as well as 13-5 in SEC play, to hold the No. 4 ranking. The Commodores simply had a rough week on the diamond, falling at home to Indiana State on Tuesday, 10-2, as well as being swept at Tennessee during the weekend by final scores of 4-3, 17-1, and 10-5.

Having now lost four-straight, Vanderbilt will return to action this weekend at home with a three-game series against Kentucky.

3. Florida Gators

Previous Ranking: 3

Remaining at the No. 3 spot this week is Florida, as the Gators now sit at 31-10 overall, as well as 11-7 in SEC play. The Gators would originally begin this past week on a winning note with a 17-7 home win over Florida A&M on Tuesday, but would however go on to be swept at South Carolina during the weekend by final scores of 13-3, 5-2, and 7-5.

Florida will now return home this week, which begins Tuesday night against North Florida. The Gators will then host Missouri for three games this weekend in Gainesville.
