6. Arkansas Razorbacks
Previous Ranking: 6
Remaining in the No. 6 spot in this week’s update is Arkansas, as the Razorbacks now sit at 33-11 overall for the year, as well as 14-7 in SEC play. After beginning the week Tuesday night with an 8-4 road loss at Missouri State, the Razorbacks would bounce back in a big way at home during the weekend with a sweep over Texas A&M by final scores of 7-5, 10-4, and 8-7, a span of results in which Arkansas also snapped what was previously a four-game losing streak.
Having now won three-straight, Arkansas will return to action this Tuesday night at home against Lipscomb. The Razorbacks will then travel to Mississippi State for three games this weekend.
5. Tennessee Volunteers
Previous Ranking: 5
Also remaining in their previous No. 5 ranking is Tennessee, as the Volunteers now sit at 30-14 for the year, as well as 11-10 in SEC play. After beginning the week with a dominant 19-1 home win over Bellarmine, the Volunteers would go on to pickup their second-straight SEC weekend sweep, defeating Mississippi State by final scores of 8-7, 12-8, and 13-2.
Likely the hottest team in SEC baseball at the moment, Tennessee has now won seven-straight dating back to April 21, and will return to action Tuesday night at home against Wofford. The Volunteers will then travel to Georgia for three games this weekend.
