April Commits:

  • 4-star CB Shamar Arnoux
  • 3-star IOL Gage Ginther
  • 3-star S Edrees Farooq
  • 3-star OT Jesse Perry
  • 3-star DL Jeremias Heard

As for the next SEC football program on this list, Tennessee and head coach Josh Heupel were also big winners on the recruiting trail during April, landing a total of five commitments to rank second in the SEC. Similar to Arkansas previously, one of the Volunteers’ commitments came from their 2025 class, as four-star cornerback Shamar Arnoux out of Milton High School in Georgia became Tennessee’s first commit of the cycle.

Looking at the Volunteers five additional 2024 commitments, Tennessee added four total three-star prospects, with half coming on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. The highest-rated of those names came from three-star interior offensive lineman Gage Ginther, who is the top player in the state of Colorado attending Fossil Ridge High School, while the Volunteers also added another lineman in three-star offensive tackle Jesse Perry, who attends in-state Middle Tennessee Christian School.

Tennessee’s two additional commitments came on defense, arguably the most notable of which came from Edrees Farooq, a three-star safety out of national powerhouse St. Frances Academy in Maryland. The Volunteers also added Jeremias Heard, a three-star defensive lineman out of Model in Georgia.
