Carolina Panthers pick up fifth-year option on DL Derrick Brown
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Carolina Panthers picked up the fifth-year option on defensive lineman Derrick Brown on Monday. Brown, a former 2020 first round pick by Carolina out of Auburn, has spent every season of his professional career with the Panthers from 2020-22, and is coming off a year in which he had 67 tackles, five TFL, and one sack across 17 games.
Tennessee S Cameron Miller enters transfer portal
Tennessee safety Cameron Miller entered the transfer portal Monday after one season with the Volunteers. Miller, a former three-star prospect in the 2022 class, did not record any stats as a freshman a year ago.
Denver Broncos pick up fifth-year option on WR Jerry Jeudy
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Denver Broncos picked up the fifth-year option on wide receiver Jerry Jeudy on Monday. A former first round pick by the Broncos in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Alabama, Jeudy has spent the past three seasons in Denver from 2020-22, and is coming off arguably his best professional season in which he had 67 receptions for 972 yards and six touchdowns.
South Florida transfer C Russel Tchewa commits to Georgia
Georgia basketball landed a key commitment via the transfer portal Monday in Russel Tchewa, a center from South Florida. Tchewa originally began his collegiate career at Texas Tech during the 2019-20 season, and has spent the last three years at South Florida, with the center also coming off what was arguably a career-year, starting in 29-of-30 games to average 11.1 PPG and 8.6 RPG on 60.6% shooting from the field.
