Holding the top spot as the biggest SEC football winner in the transfer portal this offseason is LSU, as the defending SEC West champions have added multiple names who could make an impact this fall, a group headlined by cornerback Denver Harris. A former five-star prospect, Harris comes to Baton Rouge after one season at Texas A&M, and is one of the top transfers across all of college football this offseason.

In addition to Harris, a vast majority of LSU’s transfer additions have come on the defensive side of the ball, with names such as Ovie Oghoufo (Texas), Jordan Jefferson (West Virginia), Paris Shand (Arizona), Jalen Lee (Florida), and Bradyn Swinson (Oregon) along the defensive line. LSU has also added three additional names in the secondary in JK Johnson (Ohio State), Duce Chestnut (Syracuse), and Zy Alexander (Southern), as well as a linebacker in Oregon State transfer Omar Speights, who had 304 tackles with the Beavers from 2019-22.

Offensively, LSU has landed two names, one of which comes along the offensive line in Maryland transfer Mason Lunsford. The Tigers have also added Aaron Anderson, a transfer wide receiver from Alabama who could be a potential breakout player for LSU in 2023.
