6. Alabama Crimson Tide

Previous Ranking: 7

Rising a spot to No. 6 in this week’s update is Alabama, as the Crimson Tide now sit at 32-16 for the year, as well as 11-13 in SEC play. The Crimson Tide would begin a new era in a big way under interim head coach Jason Jordan this past weekend at home, taking games one and three against Vanderbilt, 11-2 and 2-1, respectively, as well as drop game two, 4-1.

Alabama is now set to return to action Tuesday night against Troy. The Crimson Tide will then hit the road for SEC baseball action this weekend at Texas A&M.

5. South Carolina Gamecocks

Previous Ranking: 4

Dropping a spot to No. 5 this week is South Carolina, as the Gamecocks now sit at 36-11 overall for the year, as well as 14-9 in SEC play. After opening the week Wednesday with a 6-1 road win at Winthrop, the Gamecocks would be swept during the weekend at Kentucky by final scores of 7-3, 14-7, and 9-2.

Now on a three-game losing streak, South Carolina will look to break that skid Tuesday against North Florida. The Gamecocks will then travel to Arkansas this weekend in SEC baseball action.
