SEC Baseball: Arkansas, Alabama rise in latest 2023 power rankings

4. Arkansas Razorbacks

Previous Ranking: 6

Speaking of the Razorbacks, one of SEC baseball’s biggest risers of the week was Arkansas, jumping two spots to No. 4 now sitting at 36-12 overall, as well as 17-7 in SEC play. After falling 8-6 to Lipscomb on Tuesday, the Razorbacks would bounce back during the weekend, sweeping Mississippi State in Starkville by final scores of 6-2, 14-2, and 11-6.

The Razorbacks will return to action this weekend with the aforementioned series against South Carolina.

3. Florida Gators

Dropping a spot to No. 3 this week is Florida, as the Gators now sit at 37-12 overall, as well as 15-9 in SEC play. After opening the week Tuesday with a 7-5 road win at rival Florida State, the Gators would go on to win game one at Texas A&M during the weekend, 6-5, as well as drop games two and three, 15-2 and 3-2, respectively.

Florida is now set to return to play this weekend, where the Gators will host Vanderbilt for three games.
