2. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 3

Rising a spot this week to No. 2 is Vanderbilt, as the Commodores now sit at 34-13 overall, as well as 17-7 in SEC play. The Commodores would originally begin this past week with an 11-5 win over Georgia State on Tuesday, as well as win game two at Alabama during the weekend, 4-1, along with dropping games one and three, 11-2 and 2-1, respectively.

Vanderbilt now has one of the toughest weeks of any SEC baseball team this week, which begins Tuesday night at Louisville. The Commodores will then travel to Florida for a three-game series this weekend.

1. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 1

Even despite dropping their first SEC baseball series of the season this past weekend, LSU (37-10 overall, 16-7 in SEC) remains in the No. 1 spot. The Tigers would begin the week Tuesday with a dominant 10-0 win over SE Louisiana, but would go on to drop games two and three at Auburn, 8-6 and 12-2, respectively, even despite winning game one, 3-0.

LSU will now return to action Tuesday night against Northwestern State. The Tigers will then host Mississippi State this weekend in SEC baseball action.
