SEC News: Auburn, Texas A&M land transfer quarterbacks

Tennessee G B.J. Edwards enters transfer portal
After one season in Knoxville, Tennessee guard B.J. Edwards entered the transfer portal Friday. A former four-star prospect from the 2022 class, Edwards appeared in 14 games off the Volunteers bench this past season, averaging 1.2 PPG in limited action.
Michigan State transfer QB Payton Thorne commits to Auburn
Auburn football landed a transfer commitment Friday afternoon from quarterback Payton Thorne, who joins the Tigers from Michigan State. A two-year starter for the Spartans, Thorne is coming off a 2022 season in which he completed 62.5% of his passes for 2,679 yards and a 19:11 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 42 yards and a score on 60 attempts.
4-star DL Kellen Lindstrom commits to Tennessee
Tennessee added commitment No. 11 to their 2024 recruiting class Friday in Kellen Lindstrom. Lindstrom is rated as a four-star defensive lineman out of Glendale High School in Missouri.
Ohio State transfer WR Caleb Burton commits to Auburn
Auburn also landed a noteworthy football commitment Saturday from wide receiver Caleb Burton, who transfers from Ohio State. A former four-star prospect from the 2022 class, Burton did not record any stats with the Buckeyes a year ago as a freshman.
Ohio State transfer OL Ben Christman commits to Kentucky
Kentucky football added a commitment Sunday from Ben Christman, a transfer offensive lineman from Ohio State. Christman is a former four-star prospect from the 2021 class.
Fresno State transfer QB Jaylen Henderson commits to Texas A&M
Texas A&M landed a commitment Sunday via the transfer portal from Fresno State quarterback Jaylen Henderson. Henderson has seen limited action the past two seasons at Fresno State, completing five-of-eight passes for 49 yards, while also rushing for 66 yards on 16 attempts.
