LSU Tigers Football: One Player To Focus On In 2023
The LSU Tigers Football program had a good first season under head coach Brian Kelly. They finished the year with a 10-4 record, SEC West Division Champions, Citrus Bowl Champions, and won that bowl game over Purdue 63-7. The focus now in Baton Rouge is the 2023 college football season. On September 3rd, the Tigers kickoff their schedule against the Florida State Seminoles, which should be a tough first test. For LSU they want to come out and build upon last season’s success. To do that the defense needs to rally behind one player in 2023 and he’s a player fans should definitely focus on this fall.
Harold Perkins Jr., Linebacker
LSU Tigers Football has a star at linebacker in sophomore Harold Perkins Jr. He was the number four ranked player overall in the Class of 2022 by ESPN and was a five-star prospect by them as well. The 6’1, 220 lbs Perkins saw action as a true freshman last season and contributed often for LSU. He had 72 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one interception in the 2022 college football season. The LSU Tigers Football star is a playmaker on the defensive side of the ball and presents challenges for offenses in the SEC. Perkins Jr. has fantastic instincts, can make plays all over the field, and is very difficult to block when he rushes the passer. He does really well getting to the quarterback and chasing down ball carriers from sideline to sideline. The LSU Tigers Football linebacker reads the quarterback tremendously and should look to have a great sophomore year.
2023 Prediction For Harold Perkins Jr.
As far as stats go for the linebacker for LSU Tigers Football, it should be a solid 2023. The stat line could look like 80-100 total tackles, 10 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two interceptions. If everything falls into place, Harold Perkins Jr. should have a great college football season this year.
