SEC Baseball: Auburn, Florida rise in latest 2023 power rankings

2. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 1

For the first time this season, LSU drops from their top spot to No. 2, as the Tigers now sit at 39-12 overall, as well as 17-9 in SEC play. After beginning last week with a 14-4 win Tuesday over Northwestern State, the Tigers would go on to take game one against Mississippi State during the weekend, 12-1, but would fall in games two and three by final scores of 9-4 and 14-13, respectively.

LSU is now set to return to action Tuesday night against McNeese. The Tigers will then travel to Georgia this weekend to conclude the regular season.

1. Florida Gators

Previous Ranking: 3

Jumping all the way from No. 3 to No. 1 this week is Florida (39-12 overall, 17-9 in SEC), as the Gators now sit atop our SEC baseball power rankings as we enter the final week of the regular season. As to why the Gators rose, Florida would sweep the three games during the weekend against Vanderbilt by final scores of 10-0, 6-2, and 6-2.

Florida will now conclude SEC baseball regular season play this weekend on the road for three games at Kentucky.
