SEC Baseball: Vanderbilt, Tennessee rise in latest 2023 power rankings

2. LSU Tigers

Previous Ranking: 2

After dropping from the top spot last week, LSU remains at No. 2 in our latest update having now concluded the regular season at 42-13 overall, as well as 19-10 in SEC play. Beginning the week with a 7-4 win over McNeese, the Tigers would go on to win games one and two at Georgia during the weekend, 8-5 and 8-4, respectively, as well as drop game three, 9-5.

Looking ahead, the Tigers are now the No. 3 seed in the SEC Tournament, and will open play Wednesday against the winner of South Carolina/Georgia.

1. Florida Gators

Remaining in the No. 1 spot this week is Florida, as the Gators concluded the regular season at 42-13 overall, as well as 20-10 in SEC play, to be crowned SEC regular season co-champions. Going on the road this past weekend, Florida would win games one and three at Kentucky, 10-3 and 5-2, respectively, as well as drop game two, 6-4.

The Gators now enter this week’s SEC Tournament as the conference’s No 1 seed, and will begin play Wednesday against the winner of Kentucky/Alabama.
