Georgia fires head baseball coach Scott Stricklin

Georgia fired head baseball coach Scott Stricklin on Friday after 10 seasons with the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs recently concluded the 2023 season Tuesday morning with a loss in the first round of the SEC Tournament, finishing the year at 29-27 overall, as well as 11-19 in conference play.

Tennessee DL Da’Jon Terry enters transfer portal

Having transferred from Kansas prior to the 2021 season, Tennessee defensive lineman Da’Jon Terry entered the transfer portal Friday. Terry has a combined 35 tackles, six TFL, and three sacks across the last two seasons at Tennessee.

7 SEC QB commits named to 2023 Elite 11 Finals

Set to take place in the coming weeks, a total of seven quarterbacks who are committed to SEC programs have been named to the 2023 Elite 11 Finals. Those names, as well as where each are currently committed, are as follows: Dylan Raiola (Georgia), Julian Sayin (Alabama), DJ Lagway (Florida), Colin Hurley (LSU), Demond Williams Jr. (Ole Miss), Ryan Puglisi (Georgia), and Dante Reno (South Carolina).

Missouri fires head baseball coach Steve Bieser

Missouri fired head baseball coach Steve Bieser on Sunday after seven seasons in which he held a combined 188-155-1 mark with the Tigers. The Tigers recently concluded the 2023 season with a 30-24 overall record, as well as a 10-20 mark in SEC play.

Los Angeles Angels call up RHP Ben Joyce

Ben Joyce, who is a former third round pick from the 2022 MLB Draft out of Tennessee, was called up by the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday to make his MLB debut. Joyce, the Angels No. 9 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, currently owns a 0-1 record with a 4.60 ERA, four saves, and a 24:13 K:BB ratio across 15.2 IP so far this season with Double-A Rocket City.
