SEC Baseball: Vanderbilt on top in final 2023 power rankings

The 2023 SEC Baseball Tournament has now officially come and gone, which means that all of the attention across the conference now turns to the NCAA Tournament. So, before the SEC begins its’ chase for a third consecutive national championship, let’s update our 2023 power rankings for the final time this season after this week’s action in Hoover, which includes a new No. 1 team sitting on top to end the year.

Vanderbilt on top in final 2023 SEC Baseball power rankings

14. Ole Miss Rebels

Previous Ranking: 14

We begin our final update once again at No. 14 with Ole Miss, as the defending national champion was one of two teams who did not play in this past week’s SEC Baseball Tournament. The Rebels officially conclude the 2023 season with a 25-29 overall record, with Ole Miss also the only team from the SEC to finish the year under .500.

13. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 13

Also remaining at the No. 13 spot in our final update is Mississippi State, as the Bulldogs were the second of those two teams to not play in this past week’s SEC Baseball Tournament. The Bulldogs officially conclude the 2023 season with a 27-26 overall record.
