SEC Baseball: Vanderbilt on top in final 2023 power rankings

10. Kentucky Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 9

The first team to drop in our final update of the season is Kentucky, as the Wildcats fall one spot to No. 10. Kentucky’s time in Hoover would also not last long, as the No. 8 seeded Wildcats fell to Alabama in the first round by a final score of 4-0.

Now sitting at 36-18 overall this season, Kentucky will open NCAA Tournament action this Friday at home as the No. 1 seed in the Lexington Regional.

9. Tennessee Volunteers

Previous Ranking: 6

One of the biggest SEC baseball teams to fall in our final update was Tennessee, as the Volunteers dropped three spots to No. 9. The Volunteers would be eliminated in the first round this past week in Hoover, as No. 7 seed Tennessee would fall to Texas A&M on Tuesday, 3-0.

Now sitting at 38-19 overall for the year, the Volunteers will open the NCAA Tournament on Friday as the No. 2 seed in the Clemson Regional.
