A two-day span that featured a few NBA Draft decisions, Auburn guard Allen Flanigan transferring within the conference, and more, here is a look at a few things you need to know from across the SEC on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Alabama G Mark Sears withdraws from 2023 NBA Draft

One of the Crimson Tide’s top players a year ago, Alabama guard Mark Sears officially withdrew from the 2023 NBA Draft on Tuesday, and will return to Tuscaloosa for the 2023-24 season. Sears started in all 37 games for Alabama last season after transferring from Ohio, averaging 12.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 2.6 APG, and 1.2 SPG on 34.5% shooting from three, as well as 84.7% from the free throw line.

Auburn transfer G Allen Flanigan commits to Ole Miss

While also withdrawing from the 2023 NBA Draft, Auburn transfer guard Allen Flanigan officially committed to Ole Miss on Tuesday. Flanigan started in 19-of-34 games this past season with the Tigers, averaging 10.1 PPG, 5 RPG, and 1.5 APG.

3 SEC teams included in Top 8 for 4-star PG Del Jones

Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M were the three SEC teams included in the top eight Tuesday for Del Jones, joined by Arizona State, Clemson, Oregon, Providence, and West Virginia. Rated as a four-star point guard, Jones is considered as the top player in the state of Virginia from the 2024 class where he attends Huntington Prep.

Tennessee F Josiah-Jordan James withdraws from 2023 NBA Draft

Tennessee forward Josiah-Jordan James withdrew from the 2023 NBA Draft on Wednesday, and will return to Knoxville for the 2023-24 season. James started in 14-of-24 games a year ago in what was his fourth season at Tennessee, averaging 10 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 1.8 APG, and 1.2 SPG on 86.1% shooting from the free throw line.

Alabama G Jahvon Quinerly withdraws from 2023 NBA Draft

Alabama guard Jahvon Quinerly withdrew from the 2023 NBA Draft on Wednesday, and will return to the Crimson Tide for the 2023-24 season. Quinerly started in 6-of-35 games a year ago for the Crimson Tide, averaging 8.7 PPG, 1.9 RPG, and 3.6 APG on 35.7% shooting from three and 82% at the free throw line to receive 2022-23 SEC Sixth Man of the Year honors.
