Vanderbilt G Tyrin Lawrence withdraws name from transfer portal
Vanderbilt guard Tyrin Lawrence withdrew from the transfer portal Thursday, and will return to the Commodores for the 2023-24 season. Lawrence had a breakout season with the Commodores a year ago, starting in 34-of-36 games to average 13.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, and 1.7 APG on 50.2% shooting from the field, as well as 36% from three.
SEC to play 8 conference games during 2024 season

4-star RB Anthony Rogers commits to Alabama
Alabama football landed the fourth commitment of their 2025 recruiting class Friday in Anthony Rogers. Rogers is one of the top running backs in the 2025 class, rated as a four-star prospect out of IMG Academy in Florida.
3-star IOL Joseph Ionata commits to Alabama
The Crimson Tide also landed a commitment from the state of Florida on Saturday to their 2024 class in Joseph Ionata. Ionata is a three-star interior offensive lineman out of Calvary Christian-Clearwater High School.
Alabama included in Top 6 for 5-star PF Liam McNeeley
Alabama was the lone SEC team included in the top six for Liam McNeeley on Saturday, with the Crimson Tide joined by Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas. McNeeley is one of the top power forwards in the 2024 class, rated as a five-star prospect out of Montverde Academy in Florida.
Missouri names Kerrick Jackson as head baseball coach
Missouri named Kerrick Jackson as their new head baseball coach Saturday. Jackson, who was an assistant coach with the Tigers from 2011-15, comes to Missouri from Memphis, where he led the Tigers to a 29-28 overall record during the 2023 season.
