After a special freshman season with the Crimson Tide in which he was named both the SEC Player and Freshman of the Year, it’s likely no secret that Alabama forward Brandon Miller is now set to be one of the top players selected in the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft.

However, with the No. 1 overall pick seemingly already known in Victor Wembanyama to the San Antonio Spurs, where, and when, are some potential landing spots for Miller to be selected in the 2023 NBA Draft?

Charlotte Hornets

With the No. 1 pick likely to be Wembanyama to the Spurs, then the earliest potential landing spot for Miller comes at No. 2 overall, a pick held by the Charlotte Hornets. However, there is certainly a decision to make for Charlotte between Miller and G-League Ignite guard Scoot Henderson at No. 2, a conversation that will likely happen all the way up until draft night between a pair of prospects who are both extremely talented.

Portland Trail Blazers

If the previously mentioned Hornets opt-to select Henderson at No. 2 overall, then it is likely that Miller comes off the board at No. 3 to the Portland Trail Blazers. However, the Trail Blazers could be a team that looks to trade their pick, and even if that were to happen, then Miller would still likely be selected at No. 3 overall.

Houston Rockets

If Miller were to somehow fall out of the top three, then it’s unlikely that the Alabama freshman would drop even further past the Houston Rockets at No. 4 overall. A team that could need a wing, the Rockets potentially selecting Miller would add to a talented young core that already features the likes of Jalen Green and former Auburn forward Jabari Smith.
