Tennessee vs Southern Miss: 2023 Hattiesburg Super Regional preview, prediction

As you can tell, you might not see more talent on the mound in any other Super Regional than this one with the likes of Beam, Dollander, Burns, and Hall.

As previously mentioned, this will be a Saturday-Sunday-Monday Super Regional. The winner of this best-of-3 Super Regional will take on the winner of the Baton Rouge Super Regional (No. 5 LSU vs No. 12 Kentucky) in the opening game of the College World Series.

With this Super Regional starting a day later than the other side of the bracket, the times and TV designations of the second and the if necessary third game will depends on what happens in other regionals.

2023 Hattiesburg Super Regional Prediction – Tennessee wins in 3 games

I believe that this will be a tightly contested Super Regional, however I give the edge to Tennessee in this one due to their depth. After a disappointing end in Super Regionals to last year’s team, I believe that this Volunteer team makes it to Omaha. Even though it hasn’t always been smooth sailing this year for Tennessee (started out 5-10 in SEC play), they are arguably playing their best baseball of the season right now and look very dangerous.
