3. Alabama at Oklahoma

Who knows how good Oklahoma will be in 2024. A lot of people have faith in Brent Venables—including myself—but it’s a process.

One thing is for sure though, Alabama with Nick Saban at the helm will always be a contender.

And the Crimson Tide will go on the road to face the Sooners for just the third time ever in the regular season and the seventh time overall.

The last time they faced off was in the 2018 College Football Playoff Semifinals.

Quarterbacks on that field included the likes of Kyler Murray, Tua Tagovailoa, and Jalen Hurts.

Hurts obviously transferred to Oklahoma the following year, and we all know how that turned out. Look for that to be mentioned quite a bit in the week leading up to the game.

It—similar to my previous suggestion for Georgia vs Texas—might have a nickname…the Jalen Hurts Bowl.
